Every Child Matters 'Anishinaabe Binesi' T-shirt

Sale price$34.99 CAD

Ensa Bezhik Binoojiinh kchi twaawendaagzi -- "All children are sacred". A powerful statement in Anishinaabemowin.

BEHIND THE DESIGN: The above statement "Ensa Bezhik Binoojiinh kchi twaawendaagzi" encapsulated around our design titled "Binesi"; partly Inspired by elements and styles demonstrated by Métis artist Ayla Bouvette and Anishnaabe artist Emily Kewageshig; this design is drawn in a contemporary style featuring woodlands art by Ojibwe digital artist and designer 'Emjee'. It features three children guided by a flyer spirit (Binesi) on their journey to the spirit world. Every purchase supports the orange shirt movement. Proceeds from our orange shirts aid Indigenous-led charities and projects supporting residential school survivors and educating about the legacy of the residential school era. See our donation info on the previous page!

This design invites both Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals to participate in this crucial movement, while also supporting and showcasing authentic Indigenous art.

Sizing Chart

Almost all of our product options are unisex fit. (Unless otherwise specified on that specific product page, description and/or title)

Measurements taken in inches. Customers between sizes, should size down for a slimmer fit or size up for a relaxed fit. If in doubt, just go a size larger, better to fit a bit loose, than to not fit at all.

• Our garments run TRUE TO SIZE ('American' standard lettered sizes; S-M-L, etc.) WE DO NOT SOURCE CHEAP GARMENTS FROM CHINA, We source our blank garments from trusted manufacturers within Turtle Island ('The America's'); Canada, The USA, Mexico, and Honduras.

Step 1: Measure these area's (reference below on fig.1)

Chest/Bust: Measure circumference around the widest part of chest/bust.

Waist: Measure circumference of natural waist where pants sit (think regular rise pants).

Hips: Stand straight and measure around the largest circumference at hips.
Step 2: After you measure, take the largest number, then half it.
Here is an example; Customer measures a 42' inch chest, 42' divided by 2 = 21' ; So 21' is your rounded measurement, compare this number (21') to the width column of the measurements listed below. Aim for the size that is similar to (snug fit) or greater than (natural / loose fit) your rounded measurement. In this example; a t-shirt that is L-XL would suit our 21' rounded measurement.

    Great Shirts!

I chose Resist Clothing Company because of their wide selection of orange shirts designed to mark Truth and Reconciliation Day. So many beautiful options!
There was some kind of delay with my order, but when I contacted them to remind them, they got right on it and we were lucky enough to receive our order before September 30th.
The shirts are very well made with high quality, comfortable material and reinforced seams. They fit perfectly.
I am very glad I chose Resist Clothing Company for our Orange Shirts, and I highly recommend them!
